Generals Bats Erupt to Take Series Finale

Generals score 20 on 19 hits to split the series with Ulster...

LOCH SHELDRAKE, N.Y.- Sullivan wasted no time a day after only scoring 6 runs across a doubleheader by scoring 7 runs in the first inning of the series finale against the Senators. The offense would not let up, piling on 20 runs on the afternoon, resulting in a 20-9 win.

Giovanni Diaz (4 hits), Justin Mateo (3 hits), Bryan De Aza (3 hits), Jean Paul Compres (2 hits), Brandon Maravi (2 hits), Elijah Ervin (2 hits) and Devin Edwards (2 hits) were all Generals that collected multiple hits on the day. Maravi cracked a 3-run homerun and Abreu, Compress and Ervin all doubled with Ervin collecting a triple as well. 

Pablo Campusano (2-1) picked up the win without his best stuff. Sophomore Paul Villar struck out two in his two innings of work. 

Sullivan improves to 12-11 (2-2 MHC) and will be back in action with the Rockland CC Series next Thursday at Generals Park.
