[1/31/2026 Loch Sheldrake, NY] - SUNY Sullivan faced off with Region XV opponent, the Queensborough Communtiy College Tigers, this past Saturday.  The Generals dropped a tough one losing by nine, 91-82.  Sullivan falls to 8-114 on the year and 7-9 in Region XV.

Saturday's game was a back and forth battle; the Generals and Tigers exchanged the lead with the Tigers going into halftime up 1 point, 40-39.  The second half started off with a few lead changes but ultimately Queensborough CC took the lead and extended it to end the game up nine on SUNY Sullivan, 91-82. 

The Generals had four score in double figures: Hassan Niang with 21 points; Quentin Richardson with 17 points; Tomas Hernandez with 15 points; and Xavier Beckford with 14 points.  The rest of SUNY Sullivan's scoring came from S.Henderson (6), N.Sanchez (5), B.Mercedes (4).  Queensborough CC was led by Diego Cruz Lopez who recorded a double-double with 20 points and 10 rebounds.  Four other Tigers had double digit scoring: Jhereme Asamoah with 19 points; Derick Charles had 14 points; Bryron Sun had 13 points; and Angel Nunez had 10 points.

Your SUNY Sullivan Generals are back in action Tuesday, Feb 3rd when they travel to play Division II, Rockland CC at 7pm.  The Generals then return home for a three games stint: Thurs [2/5] -v-Ulster CC @7pm; Sat [2/7] -v-Hostos CC @2pm; and Sun [2/8] -v-Kingsborough CC @2pm.
