[Suffern, NY] 2/2/2026 - The SUNY Sullivan Generals were on the road yesterday to play the Rockland Community College Fighting Hawks.  Sullivan fell to the Division II opponent, 59-87; dropping their overall record to 8-15 on the year.

SUNY Sullivan fell behind early and couldn't get out of the hole; they went into halftime down twenty, 47-27. Ultimately they fell 59-87 to the Fighting Hawks.  The Generals had four individuals score in double figures: Bryan Mercedes 16 points nad 5 rebounds; Nicholas Sanchez 13 points and 7 rebounds; Tomas Hernandez 11 points and 9 rebounds; and Xavier Beckford 11 points.  The rest of the scoring came from Suncere Henderson who had 4 points while grabbing 10 rebounds and H.Niang (4).

Rockland CC was led by Jalen Munson and Channer Dule who both scored 14 points apiece.  Jaden Chavis went for 12 points, Sam Acevedo had 11 points, and Isaiah Crawford ended with 10 points.

Your SUNY Sullivan Generals have three home games coming up starting off with hosting D2 opponent SUNY Ulster Senators on Thursday at 7pm.  The Generals then have Hostos CC Caymen on Saturday at 2pm and the Kingsborough CC Wave on Sunday at 2pm; these three games are all held in the Paul Gerry Fieldhouse on the campus of SUNY Sullivan.
