1/15/2026 [Long Island, NY] - SUNY Sullivan Generals Men's Basketball were on the road Thursday to face Region XV opponent, the Suffolk Community College Sharks.  The Generals left with the win, 92-85, improving their record to 7-11 overall and 6-7 in Region XV.  

In the first half SUNY Sullivan was in control on both ends of the court; going into halftime up 52-32.  The second half saw a comeback by the Suffolk Sharks beating the Generals by 13 in the half [53-40] but SUNY Sullivan was able to survive the Shark-attack to earn the win, 92-85.

SUNY Sullivan saw a full team effort with six Generals scoring in double figures with two (Quentin Richardson & Tomas Hernandez) recording double-doubles.  Quentin Richardson earned his third career double-double in-a-row with a team high 20 points and 13 assists.   Tomas Hernandez finished with a double-double by scoring 15 points and grabbing a game high 11 rebounds.  Xavier Beckford had 18 points and 5 rebounds in the win while Hassan Niang went for 16 points and 5 rebounds.  Sincere Henderson finished with 13 points, 6 assists, and 5 rebounds while David Fowler ended with 10 points. 

The SUNY Sullivan Generals host Monroe University-Bronx Express on Saturday (1/17) at 2pm in the Paul Gerry Fieldhouse on the campus of SUNY Sullivan.  Saturday's (1/17) home game will be the first of a two games with the semi-professional ABA team, Hudson Valley Rivermen, playing after the Generals; Genarals tip off at 2pm and the Rivermen tip off at 5:30pm.
