Box Score [1/17/2026 Loch Sheldrake, NY] - SUNY Sullivan faced off with the top team in Region XV, the Monroe University-Bronx Express, this past Saturday.  The Generals dropped a tough one losing by six, 86-80.  Sullivan falls to 7-12 on the year and 5-8 in Region XV.

The Generals started off hot jumping out to an early lead and handling MU-Bronx, going into halftime up 44-37.  The second half was a different story with the Express knocking off the snow and ice to come back and win the game, 86-80.  SUNY Sullivan was led by Xavier Beckford going for 21 points with 5 rebounds and Tomas Hernandez recording another double-double with 19 points and 14 rebounds.  Hassan Niang went for 17 points while Quentin Richardson finished with 15 points and 7 assists.  The rest of the Generals scoring came from S.Henderson (6) and D.Fowler (2).  Five different players went for double figures from Monroe University-Bronx Express, with three recording double-doubles: Steven McGriff led the way with 22 points and 10 rebounds; Jalonie Pittman went for 14 points and 11 rebounds; Michael Samuda had 11 points and 11 rebounds; Caleb Dunn finished with 13 points; and Damien Maldonado ended with 11 points.

Your SUNY Sullivan Generals are back in action Saturday, Jan 24th when they travel to play LaGuardia CC at 12pm.
