11/2/2025 [Loch Sheldrake, NY] - The SUNY Sullivan Generals Men's Basketball Team opened the 2025-2026 season facing off with Region XV opponent, Borough of Manhattan Community College.  Sullivan fell to 0-1 on the year with a tough 1-point loss to the BMCC Panthers, 68-67.

SUNY Sullivan was led by freshman Taivon Wright who finished with 18 points on 8 of 12 shooting including 2-4 from Three.  Nicholas Sanchez and Xavier Beckford each added their own 12-points to the mix while the rest of the Generals' scoring came from S.Henderson (9), B.Mercedes (5), D.Fowler (5), A.Garcia (4), and J.Thomas-Pass(2).  

BMCC was led by a game high 20-points from Jayport Smith.  Brandon Duran went for 14 points, Noah Smith had 13 points, and Isah Mohammed grabbed 11 rebounds.

SUNY Sullivan Generals [0-1] are back in action tomorrow when they travel to Hudson Valley Community College.
