#12 Sullivan Generals Get Road Win At Raritan Valley CC, 78-71

Generals are 13-4 on the year

Branchburg, NJ (1/19/2023)- The #12 ranked Sullivan Generals earned a road win at Raritan Valley CC, 78-71, on Thursday.  The road win moves the Generals to 13-4 on the year.

The Generals were missing their Head Coach Brent Wilson, who is out for the week with COVID-19; Assistant Coach Simon Clement had to step up into the Head Coach role for his first college game as a head coach.  In a true team effort the #12 Sullivan Generals rallied together and earned a tough road win against the RVCC Lions; Sullivan had five separate guys go for double figures in the win.  #12 Sullivan was in a game of runs in the first half seeing the lead change multiple times; by the end of the half the Generals had secure a six point lead going into half time, 40-34.  The second half was just as tight but Sullivan was able to maintain their lead throughout the second half and battle off RVCC each time they made a run; in the end the Generals held on to win by seven, 78-71.  

The #12 ranked Sullivan had five separate Generals score double figures.  Jay Alvarez Led the way with 21 points, 6 steals, and 5 rebounds.  Kipp Richvine went for 16 points with 5 rebounds and 4 steals.  Cam Gallon came off the bench to add a spark going for 11 points and 8 rebounds.  Jalen Minto in his own 11 points with 4 rebounds and Jair Currie finished with 10 points and 4 rebounds.  The rest of the Generals scoring came from T.Bryant (5), N.Kane (2), and N.Pounder (2).

The #12 ranked Sullivan Generals have a record of 13-4 on the year.  The Generals will return to action this Saturday, Jan 21st, at 2pm when they host Howard CC at home in the Paul Gerry Fieldhouse on the campus of SUNY Sullivan.  Howard CC is 13-4 on the year; The Women play at 12pm followed by the Men at 2pm.
