Loch Sheldrake, NY- The top seeded Sullivan Generals beat the #4 Rockland Hawks, 112-63, to secure their spot in the finals of the 2020 NJCAA DII Region XV Men's Basketball Championships.  This win also secures the Generals a spot at the District Tournament next weekend.  The Generals had 34 team assists while shooting 49% from the field and going 38% from three, hitting 19.  Sullivan advances to tomorrow where they will see the #2 seeded Orange CC Colts in the championship game.  Orange beat #3 Ulster CC, 71-55, to secure their bid to the finals.
 
Five Generals scored in double figures of which one had a double-double.  Kendall Robinson led all scoring with a game high 24 points, hitting 6 threes, to go along with 4 rebounds, 4 blocks, 2 assists, and 2 steals.  Jasiah Lewis had a double-double ending with 21 points, 10 assists, 6 rebounds, and 2 steals; Jasiah went 50% from three, hitting 6.  Darius Lee went 8 of 9 (89%) from the field to finish with 18 points, 7 rebounds, 2 assists, and 2 steals.  Eddie Sanchez added 15 points, draining 5 of 7 threes.  Jordan Drain chipped in 10 points, 9 rebounds, 2 assists, and 1 steal.  Jalen Reneau had an impressive 13 assists to go along with 5 points, 4 rebounds, and 3 steals.  Other Generals scoring came from T.Holley (6); C.Brown (6); J.Galloway (4); and T.Cannady (4).
 
The #1-Sullivan Generals play #2-Orange Colts tomorrow (3/1) at 2pm in the Paul Gerry Fieldhouse on SUNY Sullivan's campus for the 2020 NJCAA DII Region XV Men's Basketball Championship.  The winner of this game will also host the 2020 District Tournament.
