Sullivan Drops Series Opener to Orange

Seven run 3rd inning does the Generals in...

MIDDLETOWN, N.Y.- The big inning plagued the Generals once again as they dropped a 14-7 decision to Orange CC on Thursday afternoon. The Colts broke open a 2-1 game in the 3rd inning with seven runs and were able to hold off some Sullivan rallies to take game one of the series.

For the Generals Freshman SS Giovanni Diaz and Sophomore C Jean Paul Compres , who was the designated hitter today, continue to swing steady bats. Diaz was 2-for-4 on the day with 3 RBI and Compres was 3-for-4 with a RBI. Sophomore RHP Emmanuel Zarzabal went a strong 4 2/3 IP in relief.

Sullivan drops to 14-19 on the year and 3-9 in Mid-Hudson Conference play. Game two is scheduled for Friday at 4pm, weather pending.
