Basketball Sweeps Ulster in Conference Opener

Women Win: 113-38 & Men Win: 96-53

Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 Loch Sheldrake, NY- The Sullivan Generals Men's & Women's Basketball team opened conference play last night, taking on the Senators from Ulster County CC.  The Lady Generals won their game, 112-38, while the Men won theirs 96-53.  

The Lady Generals came out hot and never slowed down going for an impressive 113 points, while shooting 54% from the field and 46% from three.  Infinity Hammonds led all scorers with 29 points, going 7-9 from beyond the arc.  Ariana Buchanan follwed up with 15 points and Traynise Delaney was right behind her with 14.  Jada Kelly, Johnahyah Curry, and Idalis Lee each had 10 points of their own.  Other scoring came from H.Caroccia (9), H.Harris (6), K.Britt (4), C.Emmanuel (4), and B.Avery (2).  Kadiyah Britt found shooters and had 6 assists on the day.

Sullivan men's team went 54% from the field and 39% from beyond the arc to score 96 points, with everyone scoring.  The Generals were led by Kendall Robinson with 4 threes and a total 26 points and 8 rebounds.  Khayri Dawson added another 15 points and Jordan Drain finished with 12 and 5.  Charles Brown and Josh Galloway cleaned up the glass on both ends chipping in 14 rebounds apiece and 7 and 6 points, respectively.  Point guards Jasiah Lewis, 9 points, and Jalen Reneau, 8 points, combined for a total 14 assists, 8 and 6, respectively.  Other scoring came from D.Lee (6), E.Sanchez (5), and T.Cannady (2).

The Sullivan Generals host Columbia-Greene on Thursday, 9/21, at the Paul Gerry Fieldhouse.  The Lady Generals take the floor on Saturday, 11/23, when they travel to RI to play region opponent, Community College of Rhode Island.
