Generals Extend Winning Streak in Blowout Fashion

Six Generals Score in Double Figures

Loch Sheldrake, NY - Eight players scored in double figures in the SUNY Sullivan men's basketball team's 121-72 blowout win over Rockland Community College at Paul Gerry Fieldhouse Tuesday night. 

Sullivan jumped out to a quick start and never looked back. Pressure defense, inside-out combinations and control of the rebounding game were keys to a full team effort.

Generals led early 23-9, in a run that was fueled by a Kevin Smith to Tyliek Rivers alley-oop dunk. With 6:09 left in the first half the Generals held a commanding 41-18 lead and continued full speed ahead to 59-31 lead at the half.

The second half was more of the first, which included Jamar Joseph scoring all 15 of his points in the half. The incredibly balanced attack is as follows:

With the win, the Generals improve to 7-3 overall (2-0 MHC) while the Hawks drop to 1-8 overall (1-2 MHC). Sullivan's Thursday night game at Ulster has been postponed due to unforeseen circumstances on their campus. No makeup date has been set.
