Tough Weekend for the Generals

Drop both games in Maryland; one in OT...

Largo, MD - Sunday's overtime loss at Prince George's CC wrapped up a 0-2 weekend trip to Maryland for the Generals. On Saturday Sullivan lost to Montgomery College 82-73 in Largo, MD. 

In Sunday's game, Sullivan took a 33-28 lead into halftime but Prince George's hot shooting (60.7% from the floor in the second half) put them into a position to force overtime. With the score tied up at 70-70 at the end of regulation the Owls were able to outscore Sullivan 14-12 in the extra period, dropping the Generals to 3-3 on the year.

Leading the way was Darius Lee with 25 points and 8 rebounds. Kevin Smith added 17 points while Tyiek Rivers added 13 points and 9 rebounds.

Freshman Darius Lee (Harlem, NY, Saint Raymond High School) came off the bench and scored a career high 25 points Sunday.


Up next for the Generals is a Tuesday November 20th Mid-Hudson Conference opener vs. Dutchess CC; 7pm at the Paul Gerry Fieldhouse.
