Coach Mattice enters his 9th season coaching for SUNY Sullivan as a hitting coach. Coach Mattice's background in the game involves over 32 years of coaching in every level of amateur baseball and enters his 16th year as a college coach (7 years as an assitant at Ulster CC, 1 year as Head Coach at Columbia-Greene and the past 9 years at Sullivan). Coach Mattice pitched and was a designated hitter at Highland (NY) High School, he spent several years playing with the Beacon Bears of the former Hudson Valley Rookie League. Coach Mattice is also the owner of Hudson Valley Baseball Academy that has conducted camps, clinics and private lessons throughout the area since 1996.

Coach Mattice is from Highland, NY and currently resides in Florida, NY. He has two children Jay and Karli and is a Grandfather to Logan, Luca and Leah.
