Jared Carrier

Assistant Coach Jared Carrier joined the Sullivan coaching staff in August of 2009 with a wealth of experience as a player & coach at the local level. His primary responsibilities include but are not limited to recruiting, field maintenance, hitting/1B coach and baseball operations (stats, website and social media). In addition to baseball, Coach Carrier also assists in the maintenance of the Sullivan Generals athletic website and the operation of the Sullivan Athletics' social media accounts, in the role of Sports Information Coordinator. 

Coach Carrier’s coaching background includes the following: Head Coach and General Manager for the Sullivan Spartans of the Hudson Valley Wood Bat Collegiate Baseball League (2002-2008, 2011) along with being a special advisor to the Northeast Pride 16U through Collegiate divisions (2013-2016). Carrier has one year prior at the NJCAA level as an Assistant Coach at Genesee CC (2002) after getting his start at as an assistant at Brockport HS JV in 2000 and 2001. In addition to his coaching duties Coach Carrier has trained thousands of players from the youth levels through professional baseball over 15 years at Pro Prospects Training Center (2003-2017).

Coach Carrier’s playing days started at Delaware Valley Central School in Callicoon, NY where he was a 4 year varsity starter for the Eagles as an outfielder (1994-1997). After high school Coach Carrier was a 2 year starter for Broome CC (1998-1999) in Binghamton, NY. Primarily a first baseman for the Hornets, Carrier also saw time at 3B and the outfield. While attending Broome CC, Carrier was also a member of the Binghamton. Knights of the Can-Am Collegiate Baseball League during the summers. Coach Carrier earned his Bachelor's Degree in Physical Education with a concentration in Sports Management while completing minors in Coaching and Business Administration from SUNY Brockport in 2002.
