Charlotte, NC (7/17/2023) - The NJCAA has announced the All-Academic Team for the 2022-2023 academic year.  Three Sullivan General student-athletes were recognized with NJCAA All-Academic Honors: Haley Peck (Women's Basketball), Naquan Pounder (Men's Basketball), and David DePew (Baseball).  All three Generals were named to the NJCAA All-Academic Third Team.  

Haley Peck was a sophomore forward on the Women's Basketball team that won the Region XV Championship.  Naquan Pounder was a freshman forward on the Men's Basketball team; this year they won the Region XV Championship. David DePew was a sophomore on the Men's Baseball team who won the Region XV Championship. Congratulations to Haley, Naquan, and David on their great accomplishments both in the classroom and with their respective teams.

"Charlotte, NC – The NJCAA has announced the 2022-23 All-Academic Teams, recognizing student-athletes across the country for their dedication in the classroom.  A total of 10,267 student-athletes have been honored for achieving a GPA above 3.60.

Student-athletes are eligible to earn academic honors by achieving an overall GPA of 3.60 or higher for the 2022-23 academic year. The criteria for the three All-Academic teams are listed below:

• NJCAA All-Academic First Team: 4.00 GPA
• NJCAA All-Academic Second Team: 3.80-3.99 GPA
• NJCAA All-Academic Third Team: 3.60-3.79 GPA

2,702 student-athletes garnered NJCAA All-Academic First Team honors after achieving a 4.0 GPA. 3,347 student-athletes were named to the NJCAA All-Academic Second Team while 4,117 student-athletes received third-team recognition."
