Sullivan Women Get the Win over Monroe College 68-58

Generals move to 13-9 on the year

Box Score Loch Sheldrake, NY (2/9/23) - The Sullivan Generals Women hosted NJCAA Division I Monroe College Mustangs on Thursday.  The Generals got the win over the Mustangs, 68-58.  Sullivan is 13-9 on the year.

The Generals were down two, 8-10, after the first quarter but turned in around in the second outscoring Monroe, 14-12; Everything was tied up at 22-22 going into half time.  The Generals came out of half time on a mission and outscored the Mustangs by twelve, 26-14, in the third quarter; Monroe mounted a come back in the fourth (22-20) but Sullivan fended them off and secured a ten point win, 68-58, to move to 13-9 on the season.

The Generals were lead by Brieanna Maple who finished with a game high 31 points to go along with 6 rebounds and 6 steals.  Malaysia Bryant added ten points and Deivejon Harris grabbed 10 rebounds with 5 points. The rest of the Generals scoring came from B.Bruno (8), T.Maxwell (5), M.Calliste (5) and T.Hubbard (4).

Monroe College was led by Amiyah Edney-Holmes with 17 points and Sara Carvajal-Caro with 13 points; Emma Wilson-Saltos grabbed 11 rebounds with 6 points.

Sullivan is in action again on Saturday when they travel to New Jersey to face Essex County College.
