Loch Sheldrake, NY (1/21/2023) - The Sullivan Generals Men's Basketball team hosted Howard Community College on Saturday.  The Generals ultimately lost to Howard, 76-80, and fell to 13-5 on the year.

The Generals were in a back and forth battle in the first half and were able to go into half time up four, 38-34.  The second half was very similar but Howard was able to take a late lead that they never gave up and won the half 46-38 and ultimately beat Sullivan by four, 76-80.

The Generals were led by double-doubles from Jay Alvarez and Cam Gallon.  Jay Alvarez finished with 18 points and 10 rebounds; Cam Gallon went for 15 points and 15 rebounds.  Jalen Minto added 13 points, hitting three 3's.  The rest of the scoring came from: N.Kane (8); K.Richvine (7); K.Tracey (6); M.Touray (5); J.Currie (2); and T.Bryant (2).  

Howard CC had all five starers score in double figures: Andrew Mills (20 points & 11 rebounds); Koby Baptiste (14 points & 10 rebounds); Benjamin Murphy (15 points); Marquia Freeman (13 points); and Ethan Wilson (11 points).

The Sullivan Generals are 13-5 on the year.  They head to Dutchess CC on Tuesday for a 7pm game.
