Sullivan Generals Women Get Road Win At Raritan Valley CC, 63-47

Lady Generals are 11-8 on the year

Box Score Branchburg, NJ (1/19/2023)- Sullivan Generals earned a road win at Raritan Valley CC, 63-47, on Thursday.  The road win moves the Generals to 11-8 on the year.

The Generals were able to outscoring the RVCC Lions in three of the four quarters.  Sullivan and Raritan Valley were locked in a back-and-forth battle with the scored tied after the first quarter, 15-15.  The rest of the game was dominated by Sullivan: going into the half the Generals had taken control and were up 29-25.  The second half was much of the same with Sullivan extending the lead in the third and fourth quarters to end the game with a sixteen point victory, 63-47.

The Generals were led by, Mid-Hudson Conference Athlete of the Week, Brieanna Maple with a game high 23 points to go along with 5 rebounds; Maple hit an impressive 7 threes while going 58% (7-12) from beyond the arc.  Barbara Bruno went for a double-double going for 16 points and 10 rebounds, Bruno also dished out 5 assists in the win.  Tamari Hubbard had 13 points and 9 rebounds while the rest of the Generals scoring came from:  K.Williams (9) and T.Maxwell (1). 

The Sullivan Generals have a record of 11-8 on the year.  The Generals will return to action this Saturday, Jan 21st, when they host Howard CC at home in the Paul Gerry Fieldhouse on the campus of SUNY Sullivan.  Howard CC is 10-6 on the year; The Women play at 12pm followed by the Men at 2pm.
