Box Score Loch Sheldrake, NY (2/19/2022) - The #3 ranked Sullivan Generals hosted Essex County College on Saturday evening for Sophomore Night.  The #3 Generals were able secure a Sophomore Night victory,106-68.  The Sullivan Generals end their regular season with a win to move to 22-3.

#3 Sullivan Generals opened the night honoring their six sophomores: Jalen Reneau, Jarell White, Jay Alvarez, Kareem Welch, Sam DeSouza, and Zech Barnes.  After the tip off the Generals scored the first bucket of the game and never gave up the lead.  At the end of the first half the Generals led Essex CC, 57-33.  The second half was much of the same with the Generals outscoring Essex CC, 49-35.  The #4 ranked Sullivan Generals were able get the 106-68 win and move to 22-3 on the year.

The Generals shared the wealth with two individuals recording double-doubles and three others scoring double digits.  Kareem Welch led the way, finishing one assist shy of a triple-double going for 26 points, 10 rebounds, and 9 assists.  Jarell White also recorded a double-double with 13 points and 10 rebounds, as well as 3 blocks.  Sam DeSouza had 24 points and 6 rebounds while Jay Alvarez went for 20 points and 7 rebounds.  Jalen Reneau added in 16 points and 7 assists.  Zech Barnes had a great assist after crossing up the defender that Sam DeSouza finished with the 2-hand slam.  The rest of the scoring came from J.Minto (4) and D.Jackson (3).  

The #3 ranked Sullivan Generals finish the 2021-2022 regular season with a record of 22-3.  The Generals start playoff games next Saturday when the NJCAA DII Region XV Tournament begins, being held at Westchester Community College.  The Generals will find out their seed and opponent on Sunday (2/20) evening.
