#1 Ranked Generals Fall to #7 Orange CC, 85-80

Sullivan moves to 8-1 on the year

Loch Sheldrake, NY - The #1 ranked Sullivan Generals took on the #7 ranked Orange CC Colts, on Tuesday at home.  The Generals fell to Orange, 85-80, for their first loss of the season.

The game was a tight battle from the jump; Sullivan was able to jump out to an early lead that was short lived, by halftime the score was tied 37-37.  The second half was a different story with Orange taking an early lead that they didn't give up despite Sullivan's numerous runs.  In the end #7 Orange won by 5, 85-80.

Sullivan was led by a double-double from Jay Alvarez and Cam Gallon.  Jay finished with 23 points and 13 rebounds while Cam went for 11 points and 11 rebounds.  Jair Currie ended with 18 points, hitting 6 for 12 from three-point land.  Kipp Richvine added in 13 points and 5 steals.  The rest of the General scoring came from K.Tracey (5); N.Kane (4); T.Bryant (3); S.Takyi (3).  

Orange CC was led by 21 points from both Romeo Aquino and Darius Boben; Aquino also chipped in 10 rebounds.  Tim Linton went for 17 points while Keon Gill ended with 13 points.

The Generals are back in action Thursday when they head to Rockland CC to play at 7pm.
