Rochester, NY - The #3 Sullivan Generals took down Monroe CC, 91-71, in the second day of the Murph Shaprio Classic hosted by Monroe CC. The Generals move to 5-0 on the year.
Sullivan came out hot and took an early lead; going into the half up sixteen, 42-26. The second half was much of the same with the Generals extending their lead and winning by twenty, 91-71. Â
Two Generals scored in double figures: with Jay Alvarez leading the way with a game high 27 points, going 11-18 (61%) from the field and Jay grabbed 6 rebounds. Jalen Minto went for 16 points and 9 rebounds on his birthday. The rest of the Generals scoring came from C.Gallon (9), K.Richvine (8), T.Bryant (6), K.Dinkins (6), K.Tracey (4), M.Touray (4), N.Kane (4), B.Harris (3), and N.Pounder (1).
Jamestown CC was led by Khalid Moreland with 23 points and Dyree Rogers with 11 points.
The #3 ranked Sullivan Generals are back in action on Thursday (11/17) at home. The Generals will play their first Mid-Hudson Conference/Region XV game when they face Ulster CC at 6pm.
