Rochester, NY - The #3 Sullivan Generals beat Jamestown CC, 88-63, in the opening day of the Murph Shaprio Classic hosted by Monroe CC. The Generals move to 4-0 on the year and play again tomorrow against the host team, Monroe CC.
Sullivan came out hot and took an early lead; going into the half up sixteen, 49-33. The half was much of the same with the Generals extending their lead and winning by twenty-five, 88-63. Â
Four Sullivan Generals scored in double figures. The Generals were led by Jay Alvarez with a game high 25 points, going 10-14 (71.5%) from the field. Cam Gallon came off the bench hitting 3-6 (50%) from downtown and finished with 13 points. Nayshon Kane and Naquan Pounder both went for 10 points apiece. The rest of the Generals scoring came from K.Tracey (6), K.Richvine (5), S.Takyi (5), N.Wheeler (5), M.Touray (2), J.Minto (2), K.Dinkins (2), and B.Harris (2).
Jamestown CC was led by Josiah Ransom with 21 points and Jared Martin with 12 points.
The #3 ranked Sullivan Generals are back in action tomorrow at 2pm when they face Monroe CC at Monroe CC.
