Stone Ridge, NY- Sullivan Lady Generals closed out both Mid-Hudson conference play and their regular season at Ulster CC, on Friday (2/21). The Generals took down the Senators, 104-29, to move to 8-0 in the Mid-Hudson Conference and 25-2 on the year. This win secures a Mid-Hudson Conference Championship for the Sullivan Lady Generals, a 1st place seed in the region tournament, and moves their win streak to 21 straight. The Lady Generals struggled from three, shooting 25%, but were able to get the job done inside finishing 49% overall from the field. Sullivan was able to hold Ulster to 20% overall and 31% from three.
Heather Caroccia of Sullivan led all scoring with 26 points, a career high from Caroccia. Sophomore
Adrienne Graves chipped in with her 14th double-double of the season and 11th in a row, Graves finished with 14 points, 16 rebounds, 7 assists, 5 steals, and 2 blocks. In her own fashion,
Kadiyah Britt had a double-double going for 10 points, 10 steals, 7 rebounds, and 5 assists;
Kadiyah Britt currently leads the country [NJCAA Division II] in steals, averaging 5.4 per game.Â
Johnahyah Curry joined the starting line-up and when for 15 points on 3-8 (38%) from three.Â
Kanayah Britt chipped in 11 points, 8 steals, 3 rebounds, and 3 assists. Sullivan's other scoring came from A.Buchanan (7); J.Kelly (5); C.Emmanuel (5); A.Calderon (4); B.Avery (4); and H.Harris (3).
Ulster CC was led by Kylie Kleine who had 13 points and 6 rebounds. Patricia Tetta added another 10 points and 8 rebounds, while Samantha Bruce chipped in 5 points and 10 rebounds.
The Sullivan Lady Generals are back in action when playoffs begin, Feb 29th. The Paul Gerry Fieldhouse on the campus of SUNY Sullivan will be hosting the 2020 NJCAA Division II Region XV Tournament for both Women's and Men's basketball on Saturday (2/29) and Sunday (3/1). Check the Sullivan Generals website (
