Loch Shelsrake, NY-  SUNY Sullivan hosted the 2020 NJCAA Wrestling Eastern A District Championships over the weekend in the Paul Gerry Fieldhouse.  Teams competed for the opportunity to send wrestlers to the 2020 NJCAA Wrestling Natonal Championships, March 6-7 at the Mid-America Center in Councli Bluffs, Iowa.  The following teams were in attendance: Jamestown CC, Mercryhurst NorthEast, Nassau CC, Niagara CC, Ulster CC, and tournament host school Sullivan CC. 

The team results were: Nassau CC winning with 155.5 points, Niagara CC coming in second with 127 points, and Mercyhurst NorthEast coming in third with 111.0 points.  2020 District Coach of the Year was voted as Vougar Ouroudjer from Nassau CC and the District's Most Outstand Wrestler was Niagara  CC's Jordan Bushey (174 lbs).  Individual wrestlers competed in eleven weight classes with the Top Three being automatically qualified for the National Tournament.  The District also has 7 Wild-Card bids that were awarded based on season and tournament results.  A complete list of National Qualifiers and tournament results can be found below, best of luck to those wrestlers representing our district at the National level.
