Loch Sheldrake, NY- The Sullivan Generals are excited to be hosting the NJCAA Wrestling Eastern A District Championships this weekend.  Sunday (2/23) marks the first time Sullivan will host a District Championship for Wrestling.  The event begins at 10:00am with the doors to the Paul Gerry Fieldhouse opening at 9:15am.  Six NJCAA schools will be competing in the Championships: Sullivan CC Generals (host school), Jamestown CC Jayhawks, Mercyhurst North East Saints, Nassau CC Lions, Niagara CCC Thunder Wolves, and Ulster CC Senators.

The Sullivan Generals Wrestling will be represented by six freshmen: Liam Bullock (125lbs), Nick Glanville (133lbs), Zach Rosenthal (141lbs), Anas Samir (157lbs), Dirani Haynes (165lbs), and Greg Salavec (174lbs); Sullivan's seventh wrestler is the lone sophomore, Brian Mascaro (197lbs).  Sullivan Generals Wrestling has gone 6-4 on the year and have won their last two matches.  The Generals last wrestled on  on Feb 5, when they traveled to Lackawanna and picked up a huge win for the program.  Coach Ng is excited to be hosting the District Championships and think its a great opportunity for the school and local community.

Come out to 'The Bunker' at the Paul Gerry Fieldhouse on Sunday, Feb 23rd, to support Generals Wrestling in their District Tournament.
