Middletown, NY- The #16 ranked Sullivan Lady Generals traveled to Orange CC on Thursday (2/13). In the Mid-Hudson Conference match-up between the Generals and the Colts, Sullivan was able to get the win, 93-50. This win moves Sullivan to 6-0 in league, 22-2 overall, and increases their win streak to 17 straight games. The Lady Generals came out fast getting an early jump on the Lady Colts and ending the first quarter up 21-12. After a 26-0 second quarter is was apparent Orange was struggling with Sullivan's stifling defense, the Lady Generals went into the half up, 57-12. The Lady Generals weathered the few runs Orange made in the second half and ended the game with a 93-50 win. Â
Sullivan was led by another impressive double-double from
Adrienne Graves, who finished with 27 points, 17 rebounds, and 8 assists while going 12-18 (67%) from the floor.Â
Kadiyah Britt contributed a double-double of her own with 15 points, 10 rebounds, 5 assists, and 6 steals.Â
Infinity Hammonds went for another 16 points, while
Heather Caroccia chipped in with 11 points, 3 rebounds, and 3 steals.Â
Aniyah Calderon, came off the bench to add 6 points, 9 rebounds, 2 steals, and 2 blocks. Other Lady General scoring came from A.Buchanan (4); J.Curry (4); C.Emmanuel (3); K.Britt (2); and J.Kelly (2).
Orange's Candace McCutcheon led the Lady Colts with 15 points, 9 rebounds, 2 assists, and 3 steals. Eleana Stackum added another 12 points, 2 rebounds, and 2 assists. Tatiana Williams contributed 8 points, 5 rebounds, and 4 assists.
The #16 ranked Sullivan Lady Generals are back in action on Tuesday (2/18) when they host Rockland CC in a Mid-Hudson Conference doubleheader. Games will be in the Paul Gerry Fieldhouse with the #16 Lady Generals at 5pm and the #3 Generals at 7pm. Tuesday is our 'Sophomore Night' so come out and support our student-athletes.
