Box Score Rochester, NY- On Saturday (1/18), Sullivan traveled to Monroe CC to face off with the Jayhawks from Jamestown CC. In what proved to be challenge right to the final buzzer, the Generals were able to slide past the Jayhawks, 84-80, to improve to 14-2 on the season. Sullivan struggled on the defensive end allowing Jamestown to hit 9 threes and shoot 47% from the field. On the offensive end the Generals struggled from beyond the arc but found a groove in the paint which proved to be too much for the Jayhawks. The Generals went an uncharacteristic 1-17 from three and relied on their inside game finishing 60% inside the arc and getting the win.
Sullivan General,
Josh Galloway, recorded his second double-double of the season with 12 points and 11 rebounds.Â
Darius Lee led all scoring with 25 points and had 7 rebounds. Freshman
Jalen Reneau finished with 21 points and 7 assists; while freshman
Jordan Drain had 13 points and 4 rebounds.Â
Jasiah Lewis in an off night had 4 points but pulled down 9 rebounds and dished out 5 assists. Other General scoring came from T.Holley (5) and K.Dawson (4). Â
Jamestown's Jordan Thomas, coming off the bench, finished with a double-double and team high 25 points and 11 rebounds. Starters Kane Kenyon and Donathan Daniels went for 15 points and 14 points, respectively. Daniels also had 6 assists and 6 rebounds. Kyle Butler ended with 8 points and 7 assists.
Sullivan takes on the host team, Monroe CC, tomorrow (1/19) in a 12 noon game.
