Bronx, NY- The Sullivan Generals Cross Country team traveled to the Bronx, NY for their season opener at Van Cortlandt Park.  The first Women's 5k race of the season had 131 women entered, representing 20 colleges.  The sophomore runners have worked hard in the off season to improve their race strategies and times.  Coach Weintraub was proud to see all the hard work pay off and her girls are excited for what the season can bring.

Sophomore Prue Sanders (36:38) led the women's team with a LIFETIME BEST in the 5K!!  In their Cross Country debut Stasilli (38:29) and White (44:14) were right in the pack.  Coach Weintraub, had this to say about returner Prue Sanders: "This was a very exciting way to start the season, I hope to see Prue keep this momentum going through the season. In the past year she has put in a lot of work and she is starting to see results!" 

The Cross Country team will be traveling to Bard College next weekend for their next meet.
