LOCH SHELDRAKE, N.Y. - A grueling regular season schedule for #1 seed Sullivan in their first year of NJCAA Division Il competition paid off as the Generals were able to defeat CC of Rhode Island Sunday afternoon in overtime by the score of 77-70 at the Paul Gerry Fieldhouse. Sullivan, who now stands 15-10, will now host the District N & O Tournament this coming weekend. 

The #3 seed Knights of CCRI stormed out to an 18-12 first quarter lead which was promptly answered by a 22-11 Sullivan second quarter. Sullivan's 34-29 haltime lead was fueled largely by second chance opportunities via All-Tournament selection Jordan Meaurie-Pickett who finished the day with 20 points and 19 rebounds. 

The second half featured plenty of back and forth action as the perimeter shooting of CCRI's guards kept them in the game throughout as they knocked down 11 3-pointers, eight of them coming from Olivia Batastini Pal who finished with 27 points. Kat Raposa, Bastastini's back court companion dropped a game high 30 points and was clutch down the stretch from the foul line to force overtime.

In the extra period the Generals athleticism and length was to much to handle as they outscored CCRI 11-4. Tournament MVP Traynise Delaney found her touch late and finished with 21 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Jade Walls added 12 points and 9 boards while Jayda Allen went for 10 and 11. Hope Harris provided a spark off the bench and was able to extend the CCRI zone with her perimeter game, finished with 10 points, including two three-pointers.
