Loch Sheldrake, NY- Sullivan Generals JV Basketball opened their 2019-2020 season at home taking on ASA JV. Sullivan struggled to settle in early and run offense against ASA's zone but as the game went on the Generals fell into place and began to play as a team. The Generals defense and continuous attacking mentality on offense proved too much for ASA and helped propel Sullivan to a Season Opening win, 76-67. Kimani McIntosh and Ben Smith led ASA with 22 and 13, respectively. The Generals were led by veteran, returning guard, Raye McKinney who led all scoring with 23 points. FreshmanÂ
Zechariah Barnes had 12 points in his collegiate debut and returning sophomore
Ameen Hawkins chipped in 11 of his own in the win. The JV Generals are on the road Thursday to take on Hamilton Hall Academy in NJ.
