Bronx, NY - The Sullivan JV Men's Basketball team continues with it's early season success picking up an 80-56 win on Thursday night over the JV program at NJCAA DI ASA College at the famous Gaucho's Gym in the Bronx.
Sullivan held a commanding lead throughout, up 33-13 at one point in the first half before ASA closed the gap at halftime score of 39-23.
A 12-2 run to start the second half led to a 30 point lead at 70-40 with 7 minutes in the game. Leading scorers were Angel Jiminez who tallied 22 points while Taquan Benjamin racked up 18 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists.
Shabon Burton with another strong effort, scoring 17 and grabbing 5 rebounds.
FR Guard Angel Jimenez (Central Islip, NY, Central Islip) with his second game of 20+ points this season vs. ASA.
Sullivan improves to 3-1 on the year and will be back in action this Saturday with an 11am tilt at Herkimer CC (JV).
