Sullivan Suffers Road Loss at Union CC

Owls use big second half to pull away...

CRANFORD, N.J. - Coach Danny Lang's difficult non-league schedule continued on Tuesday night as Sullivan traveled to take on Union CC. A slow start to the first quarter had the Generals down early by the count of 12-2 before they were able to battle back to end the 1st quarter in a 18-10 hole. 

Sullivan made a few runs in the second quarter, cutting Union's lead to less then 10 on several occasions. Every time the General's got into a position to strike, the Owl's were able to respond, closing out the first half with a 35-23 lead over the visitors.

Union took it to another level in the second half scoring early and often, creating space by outscoring the Generals 25-7 in the 3rd quarter for a 60-30 lead. Final on the night was 79-43 as Union improved to 9-3 while Sullivan drops to 8-4.

Freshman Guard Traynise Delaney led the way for Sullivan with 14 points and 5 assists. 

The Generals game on Thursday vs. Westchester CC has been canceled and will not be made up. Sullivan will travel to NJCAA DI Monroe College on Saturday for a 1pm start.
