HERKIMER, N.Y.- The Sullivan JV Men's Basketball team showed no ill effects to an 11am road start at Herkimer, leading throughout the entire contest for an 81-49 victory. With the win the Generals improved to 4-1 on the season.
A strong start to the game put the Generals in the driver's seat. A short jumper in the paint by
Shabon Burton gave the General's a 20-9 lead halfway through the first half. Burton and
Angel Jimenez would both score 11 points in the first half that would end with Sullivan leading by the score of 36-16.
The second half would be more of the same as
Jordan Grey would catch fire and score 13 points, knocking down three 3-pointers. Leading scorers for the Generals were Burton who finished with 19 points on the day. Grey and Jimenez would both total 15 points apiece.
Sophomore Guard Shabon Burton (Middletown, NY, Middletown) continues to find the basket with another 19 points Saturday.
