Loch Sheldrake, NY - The SUNY Sullivan Classic turned out to be a success for the hosts as the Generals 98-86 win over Raritan Valley completed a combined 4-0 weekend for the Generals' women & men's basketball programs.
Raritan Valley took a 46-45 lead into halftime but the second half belong to the Generals. Sophomore Guard
Kevin Smith (New Haven, CT, Putnam Science Academy) scored 31 points, going 11-for-12 from the foul line.
Four other Generals would notched double digits in the scoring column. Sophomore Guard
Terrin Roy (Long Island, NY, Lawrence Woodmere High School) notched 14 points with 5 assists, while Freshman
Anthony Lopez (Bronx, NY, Our Savior Lutheran) and
Darius Lee (Harlem, NY, Saint Raymond High School) each added 12 points. Lee was one of four Generals who grabbed seven rebounds.
Sophomore Transfer Kevin Smith scored 48 points over two games this weekend.
Freshman Ty Rivers (Brooklyn, NY, Monsignor Scanlan High School) put together another strong effort with 11 points and 7 rebounds.
Up next for Sullivan will be the Murph Shapiro tournament hosted by Monroe CC in Rochester, NY this weekend. Sullivan will take on Mohawk Valley CC at 4pm on Saturday November 10th and Cecil College at 2pm on Sunday November 11th.
