Generals Rebound Sunday to Defeat Prince George's CC

Tough loss on Saturday vs. Montgomery College...

Largo, MD - After a tough 73-67 loss on Saturday vs. Montgomery College in Rockville, MD the Generals were able to bounce back Sunday with a win over Prince George's CC. The Generals took a 16-15 lead after the first quarter but it was a 13-3 second quarter that made the difference in the 52-40 final. With the win Sullivan improves to 5-2 on the season.

Leading the way on Sunday was a trio of top performers. Shatoya Newine set a season high in points scored (12) and rebounds (11) while Jordan Meaurie-Pickett (10 pts, 14 rebs) and Jayda Allen (10 pts, 12 rebs) all racked up a double-double. Samantha Bellinger grabbed a game high 18 rebounds while adding 9 points.

Freshman Shatoya Newine (Long Island, NY, Uniondale) set a season high in points and rebounds Sunday.


Up next for the Generals is a Tuesday November 20th Mid-Hudson Conference opener vs. Dutchess CC; 5pm at the Paul Gerry Fieldhouse.
